Refurbishment for a townhouse in Belsize Park. The house underwent a complete refurbishment and restoration of its structure and fabric. The Client was an enthusiastic collector of antique Russian furniture. A conversation evolved about how elements of the refurbishment could reflect this. For example the knock through kitchen space was conceived as an enlarged walk-in wooden cabinet made of Cherrywood which included overhead storage and a configuration of pull out draws in the lower levels. This ‘cabinet’ then folded out into the dining room as a window chest and seat along the garden window wall.
